CONSULTATION

Born to keep the design world exciting.

Hey there, my name is Teara Green, and I am a designer & brand consultant. My company is founded on the idea that good design should be available to even the smallest companies.

Everyone starts somewhere and needs someone willing to work with them. Someone who is willing to help them build their ideas in a way that showcases exactly who they are as a company. I want to focus on the future CEOs of the world – the brains behind new companies with new ideas. My goal is to help build the dreams of future leaders and to keep the design world as exciting as it was born to be.

IN-HOUSE DESIGN EXPERIENCE

2020 - 2022

Shippo | Senior Visual Designer

  • Improved email open rates and social engagement with monthly Customer Stats Emails which highlights customer achievements. Small business owners love to share their business achievements as a marketing tactic and by creating this monthly cadence, I increased social shares and customer engagement for both Shippo and customers.

  • Increased Customer Retention by reconfiguring the Onboarding Email flow to include more product demonstrations, feature call-outs, and customer highlights within the first five emails. I increased customer retention and click-through.

  • Under my design management, we reduced design lead time resulting in increased project output through forward thinking. I employed a “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” approach to design projects by creating imagery options with other projects in mind. By creating initial options I was able to reuse the additional options between blog tiles, e-books, advertisements, email headers, and social posts increasing our completed design output to over 750 projects in my first year and 1,350 projects within my second year. This enabled us to take on more high-priority projects between our usual design duties.

  • Rebranded Shippo, shedding the company’s ‘scrappy startup’ persona. As a team of three senior visual designers, we expanded the color scheme to include secondary colors, reworked the illustration library to include branded assets, selected company fonts to provide a consistent hierarchy, and established new standards through a Brand Guide to create design consistency and elevate Shippo as a leader in the shipping label industry.

  • Excelled in a fast-paced environment while managing a team. My strong interpersonal skills allowed me to effectively receive and provide constructive feedback in a dynamic setting, while my exceptional project management skills enabled me to effectively manage multiple projects and deliver them within tight deadlines. In addition, I took the initiative to lead and organize the design team scrum board, which involved managing, reviewing, and assigning projects to individual design team members. This ensured that all projects were completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

  • Exceeded our monthly marketing goals as a design team by regularly testing, adjusting, and evaluating our marketing strategies on a monthly basis, we were able to improve traction and increase click rates and activations.

  • Displayed design flexibility and an advanced level of software proficiency. I successfully designed a diverse range of materials, including quarterly e-books, e-book templates, Web Ads (Google, Bing, Reddit), email templates, company newsletters, both digital and environmental ads, customer case studies, holiday logos, tradeshow booth graphics, webinar marketing, and archived/ created imagery for the Shippo blog and resource pages. My expertise in a broad range of software applications, including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dimensions, Substance 3D, and Figma, enabled me to deliver high-quality designs elevating Shippo standards.
